About Me
I am a former visiting student at the University of Oxford, where I studied Computer Science and Mathematics. My research at OMNI is supervised by Dr. Ana Namburete, based in the Department of Computer Science. My home institution is Columbia University, where I am completing my final year of a B.A. in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics.
My research focuses on applying computer vision and machine learning techniques to fetal brain imaging. Specifically, I am fine-tuning and extending the SAM2 model to segment anatomical structures in fetal brain ultrasound videos using a small number of annotated frames. This approach aims to significantly reduce the annotation effort required for downstream 3D fetal brain tasks.
Research Background
In addition to my work at OMNI, I have held research positions at Stanford Medicine and Columbia University. At Stanford Medicine’s Aghaeepour Lab, I worked under the supervision of Dr. Nima Aghaeepour and Dr. Tomin James on explainable machine learning methods for chorioamnionitis prediction, developing attention-based architectures to better understand model decision-making over time-series clinical data. At Columbia University’s Sia Laboratory, I worked under the supervision of Dr. Samuel Sia and Terry Chern to develop a dashboard that enables physicians to efficiently monitor patients with hypertension remotely.
Personal Interests
Outside of research, I am passionate about music and athletics. I sing with Out of the Blue at Oxford and the Kingsmen at Columbia. During my time at Oxford, I rowed competitively for St Anne’s College Boat Club, and I continue to stay active through hiking and sailing.
